Jaguar Facts- A group of Jaguars is called a Jamboree
- Jaguars can live 12 to 20 years in the wild
- A jaguar’s spots are called rosettes
- Jaguars are great swimmers and are very good at climbing trees.
- They live and hunt alone.
- They mainly hunt at night.
- Jaguars are very territorial.
- Males live alone with a large territory. Females live with their cubs.
- Once her cubs are 2 years old she will chase them off and find another mate.
- Jaguars only come together to mate.
- They eat rodents, peccaries, tapirs, deer and cattle
- They stalk and ambush or chase their prey.
- they are the 3rd largest feline after the tiger and lion.
- They live in rain forest like areas in south America and Mexico. Some have been spotted in southern north America.
- Jaguars are very rarely all black.
- Coloring:Tan, golden or reddish brown base with black spots or solid black. Eyes:Grey, green, yellow, orange.
- Litters consist of 1-4 cubs.
Roleplay Jaguars- These jaguars will hunt, work, and live together in a jamboree.
- Litters are no more then 5 cubs!!
- They will not kick their young out sat the age of 2. They will live in the jamboree forever.
- The adolescent Jaguars will be mentored by the whole Jamboree. This is the best way that they can learn valuable survival skills.
