- A group of tigers is called a streak or ambush.
- Tigers are the largest of the big cats. Tigers can grow to be 7 to 12 feet long. Males can weigh up from 220 to 570 pounds. Females can weigh up from 160 to 310 pounds.
- Tigers are solitary animals. Males live alone. Females also live alone unless they have cubs to raise. They only come together to mate.
- Tigers usually live in forests, jungles. They usually live near water like rivers or lakes.
- Tigers are one of the few big cats that like to swim.
- Tigers usually hunt wild boar, medium to large deer such as chital, red deer and sambar, gaur(A large forest cow), and domestic animals if they can get their claws on them. They very rarely kill humans. They can also kill rodents and reptiles.
- Tigers hunt alone around dusk or dawn.
- Tigers hunter technique consist of slow silent stalking and when they get close enough they'll pounce or chase.
- Male tigers protect a large territory from other males. A female tiger must have a large enough territory to support her cubs.
- Tigers can live up from 15 to 20 years of age in the wild.
- Once the Cubs reach 2 years of age the mother chases them away so she can breed again.
- Tiger litters usually consist of 2 to 3 cubs.
- Tigers come in two colors Rarely White and Commonly Orange. eye color: brown, green, orange, yellow, grey and blue.
- Breeds of Tigers: Sumatran, Amur (or Siberian), Indian (or Bengal), South China, Malayan, and Indo-Chinese.
Role Play Tigers
- These tigers can live up to 30 years.
- They'll be able to live in a streak and they don't have to kick out their young when they reach 2 years.
- These tigers will be more social and work together to hunt and protect their territory.
- These tigers' litters can be up to 5 cubs or less. No more than 5!
- Adolescent Tigers will be raised by the whole Streak.
