(King Cheetah)
- A group of Cheetahs is called a Coalition.
- There are 2 breeds of Cheetah: The King cheetah and the regular cheetah. The King cheetah is very rare.
- Female cheetahs live alone unless they have cubs. Males will usually team up and live together.
- The typical liter is 1 to 5 cubs.
- Only 1 out of 10 cheetah cubs will survive to adult hood.
- When Cheetah cubs reach the age of two they will leave their mother and make lives of their own.
- Cheetahs live in the same habitats as lions but keep a great distance.
- Cheetahs hunt the same prey as lions do too but usually stay away from the larger animals like buffalo.
- Cheetahs re the fastest land animals and and go from 0 to 60 mph in less than a minute.
- Cheetahs are built for speed and hunting not fighting which is why they usually loose their kill to larger predators.
- Cheetahs can only run in short bursts. They must stop or they can over heat and die.
- Cheetahs grow up to 4 feet in length and weigh up to 140 pounds.
- In the wild Cheetahs can live up from 8 to 12 years in the wild.
- Cheetahs stalk their prey, targeting a you, old or weak animal and when they get close enough they'll chase their target, lashing out at its feet trying to trip it.
- Coloring:Golden, tan, or brown with small spots and speckles. The king cheetah, in addition to the spots has stripes. Eyes:Green, grey, orange and yellow.
- Fun Fact: When a Cheetah runs it only puts one foot on the ground at a time.
- Fun Fact: Their claws are much like a dogs' and they don't retract.
Role Play Cheetah
- The cheetahs will live together in a Coalition.
- Their litters will be up to 5 cubs, no more than that!
- Their life span will be up to 20 years.
- The cheetahs will live hunt and work together.
- The adolescent cheetahs will be mentored by the whole Coalition.
